My Challenge - Ends September 30, 2012

Here’s what’s going on:

Hello All! So here’s the deal. I want to improve my skin, hair, and body. Over the last year or so I’ve been struggling with bad skin, hair that has plateaued, and a body that refuses to be effected by anything I do lol. It’s crazy to think that if you don’t keep your eye on the ball, things can get away from you. Fast! So it’s time for me to get it together :) The things I can control, I want to…..So this will be my start!

Here’s where I am:

Hair

  • Thin, uneven ends
  • Fine, short edges
  • Easily tangled
  • Excess shedding
  • Length 15-19 inches 

Body

Current Measurements:

  • Chest - 35
  • Arm - 10.5 
  • Waist - 28 
  • Navel - 30.5 
  • Hips - 39 
  • Low thigh - 21.5 
  • High thigh - 23

Skin

  • No current breakouts
  • Five dark spots on my right cheek
  • Dry patch on my far right cheek 
  • Oily T-zone

Here’s what I’ll do:

Hair

  1. Deep conditioning once a week
  2. Scalp massages with JBCO three times a week
  3. Finger detangling only 
  4. Moisturizing and sealing w/ EVCO twice a week
  5. Sealing ends with JBCO once a week
  6. Black tea rinses

Body

  1. Pilates twice a week
  2. Spin class twice a week
  3. Weight training once a week

Skin

This is tricky. My skin is some weird, dry, combo, oily combination. Depending on the day it’s one or all of the above. And unfortunately the skin care line I loved was discontinued (that’s happened to me twice), so now I’ve still been trying to figure out a new skin care regimen and new products. So though the products are still up in the air I want consistency. I feel like hair and skin are similar in that though products help, consistency is more important. So with that, I’m going to do the following:

  1. Gentle cleansing morning and evening 
  2. Exfoliating twice a week
  3. Mud mask once a week 
  4. Moisturizing treatment with steam

Here’s where I want to be:

Hair 

  • Stronger, fuller, ends
  • Thicker roots and edges 
  • Less shedding during detangling 
  • Two or more inches retained

Body

So pretty much I want a smaller middle section, smaller thighs, and smaller bottom. Here are my goal measurements:

  • Waist - 27
  • Navel - 28.5 
  • Hips - 37.5
  • High thigh - 21

Skin

  • Minimize breakouts
  • Stop picking at breakouts
  • Lighten dark marks 

So that’s it :)

Lots to follow…..12 wks until this challenge ends….I’m ready. Starting pics to follow.
